Privacy Policy - bitclaw

Overview

This policy applies to all products and services built by Daniel Chavez (bitclaw), including RunMist, WeatherDestination, Job Summary, and any future products. The short version: I collect as little data as possible, I don't sell it, and I don't share it.

What I collect

Depending on the product, I may collect:

Email address — only if you subscribe to updates or create an account.
Usage data — anonymous, aggregated metrics to understand how products are used (e.g. page views). No personally identifiable information.
Information you voluntarily provide — such as support requests submitted through contact forms.

I do not collect payment information directly. Payments are handled by third-party processors (e.g. Stripe) subject to their own privacy policies.

Chrome extensions

Extensions (such as Job Summary) process data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in on-device AI. Page content read by the extension is passed to the on-device model only — nothing is transmitted to any external server. Any data stored by the extension (e.g. a generated summary) lives in your browser's local storage and is cleared when you uninstall the extension.

How I use your data

To provide and improve the products you use.
To send product updates if you opted in.
To respond to support requests.

I do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the product you signed up for.

Data sharing

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. I do not share it with third parties except where required to operate the service (e.g. infrastructure providers) or where required by law.

Data retention

Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the service. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting me.
